Interbase Memory Problems; Degradation of System Performance: HELP!!!

On loading a 250000 record database and exploring this database using fields and the TTab;e Next
method, data reading gradually becomes slower and slower (1st 1000 records ~ 15 seconds; after
200000 records 60 seconds/1000 records.)
In the end it appears that memory is full and the apllication stops.

Does anyone outhere has any suggestions.

Use TQuerys. Only select some Records (not all at a time).

Hope this helps,

HELP!!!

When accessing large and/or remote databases ALWAYS use TQuery
components and set the BDE to SQL PassThrough mode.

More, using Interbase you should set the page size of you're
Database to 8192 (max val. avail.)
