Compare Utility For Oracle Tables?

Hello All !

Does anyone know of a "table compare" utility that can be used with Oracle
Database tables?
I would like to compare the "before" and "after" contents of a table that is
being updated by another program.

Thanks In Advance,
Everett

Why not to use SQL ? Before update save a table. After update compare
tables using SQL operators: MINUS/UNION ALL.

Theoretical answer, not tried out->

Can you take a snapshot of the table before the update, then a snapshot
of the table after the update, and compare these two snapshots?

Also, you can put a trigger on the table and trap any changes made, and
store these changes into a "transaction" table.

i.e.

create trigger au_mytable
after update on mytable
for each row
begin
        insert into mytransactiontable (oldvalue1, newvalue1, oldvalue2,
newvalue2) values (:old.valu1, :new.value1, :old.value2, :new.value2)
end;
/

please note the above SQL probably wont work, but it gives you an idea.
