No.

AFAIK this is only possible if you are using the BDE, which transfers
all data to the client before doing the join.

Is it possible for an SQL statement to access data from 2 separate interbase
databases similar to the way MS-SQL server works e.g.

select t1.fieldx, t2.fieldy
from db1.dbo.atable t1
join db2.dbo.anothertable t2 on t2.field1 = t1.field1

and if so, could someone please point me at some documentation that explains
how to do this.
