COM Server object and nework shared directory.

i wonder if someone can help me with my current problem. maybe one of you
had it before.
we have written a COM object server that runs when a client connects to the
server machine via midas. the problem is that the server object cannot for
some reason access any files on network drives mapped on the server machine
(win nt4 server). it says that access to the file is denied. local files
prove no problem to read.
