English to Spanish Translating Component?

Is there such a thing and where would I find it?

I need a component that can take the content of a RichEdit control written
in English and return the same content written in Spanish.

Any help -- truly appreciated!

You can write such a beast on top of an HTTP client component.
Mechanical translations are almost usable these days, and of
course there are free web front-ends.

But for a top-of-the-line component, imagine something the
size of a small office building, RFC 1149-like data-to-hardware
interface, and fifty cents per word.

You seem to think that translation is easy. It isn't.

Maarten, where could you have possibly read into my question that I think it
would be easy or even inexpensive.

Thank you for your reply, I will surely file it, somewhere.

That would be the part where you stated what you
needed in a single sentence: "I need a component
that can take the content of a RichEdit control
written in English and return the same content
written in Spanish". I honestly felt that this
didn't quite do justice to the range of the subject.

In the round grey metal archive, right?

Seriously, there are web sites that do a fairly
acceptable job on short snippets of simple language,
and if the layout is sufficiently straightforward
(which is _not_ in the supplier's interest!), you
can write a component that queries it.

But if you gave me the Canterbury Tales to translate
into Spanish, I might reasonably present you with the
original text to Don Quixote. It's absurd, but it's
consistent in its own universe. Translation is full of
that sort of leaps that nobody has yet successfully
automated.
