CD seen as non-ready drive

I'm working with TP5.5. On startup, it complains about drive D to be
not ready, asking to retry or to abort, Drive D is my CD-rom. Any
ideas how to circumvent this message?

Check your path.  There is probably a reference to D:\ installed by a
program from a CD-ROM.

Sorry, there is no reference to D: in the path (I already checked it
before crying out for help). I assume that TP5 looks around at startup
for all the disks, and just does not know about disks that can be not
ready (like an empty CD-ROM player). Thanks anyway.

Did you check Options/Directories, the contents of the pick file and possibly
other TP options? I only know TP 5.5: it doesn't check for all drives, but if
a file on drive D: is referenced in the pick file, TP will search for it.

Hope this helps,
Frank
