The server at soap-server.borland.com/WebServices/Default.htm
does not respond (just timeout). I am using a direct Internet connection
(no proxy). I tried Google but found no news about the server.

Re:What happened to soap-server.borland.com?

Hello Michael,
I don't recall exactly when ( 2003?) the soap-server machine was taken down.
The SOAPBuilders interop. was winding down [eventually to be replaced by
WS-I] and Borland was moving away from native/Win32 towards .NET. All
development on native SOAP was stopped and all efforts put on ensuring one
could use Delphi in the .NET environment to build WebService
clients/servers...
Of course, some of these plans changed... Unfortunately soap-server was
never restored mainly because it was focused on exposing endpoints for other
vendors affiliated with SOAPBuilders. I took a peek and noticed that some of
the former SOAPBuilders vendor have left their endpoint active while others
have taken down their machines too.
If there's something in particular that you were after let me know and I can
see if we can help.
Cheers,
Bruneau.
