Hello all,
I should develop a project using Deplhi6, dbexpress and informix 9.4, for
this reason I install the driver given by the borland for informix 9.2.1,
but they don't work. When I try to connect to the the database by means of
the component TSQLConnection the following error is presented "Failure to
Connect: DBX Error: Invalid Username/Password". After several tests, I
discover that to be connected with TSQLConnection by dbexpress to the
database first should open a connection BDE by means of a TDatabase, which
does not have sense.
I would be interested to know like we can solve the error in the connection,
or otherwise would help me know if the borland plans to release a new
version of the dbexpress dirver for informix 9.4.

It is known old and an error in this driver. I recommend you to work on the
other the driver. For example Luxena or dbxoodbc.
 

hello,
what are the arguments (examples ..) entries for configuring informix in
dbexpress ? I cannot connect database with mine. I use ip:service for
host entry and database@informixserver for the database. The
login/password are correct. The connection say "login or password
incorrect" ....
