"McAfee's interim CEO to get $125,000 a month"
Considering how profitable the virus industry is, I'd check the
ba{*word*224}ts in these companies' HQs.. to see if they also have a T1
connection..

I've been using McAfee for the past year; my subscription is about to expire.
It is time to switch to something else.

Seconded. I have been using it for a couple of years now, and couldn't be
happier with it is performance.
OK, perhaps I *could* be happier, but just don't realize it yet. But I
certainly have no complaints with it. :-)

With the upcoming (soon, really soon, promise) release of Vista
Microsoft may be trying to squeeze out these security companies. Maybe
they should spend the $125,000 a month looking for new markets.

My personal recommendation is AVG.

Up until last week I'd have agreed with you. I have been using the Pro
version for over 2 years without any problems. When they sent an
automatic upgrade to 7.5 last week, it broke CodeInsight in Delphi
(versions 5 and 7; haven't tried others). Turn off AVG, CodeInsight
works; turn it on, CodeInsight doesn't. It took me 3 days to figure it
out and then only because I found a newsgroup entry that mentioned the
problem.
I've notified Grisoft and have had some correspondence on this problem,
so I believe they are trying to fix it. For the time being, don't
upgrade to 7.5. Stick with 7.1.

That's weird, code-sight is working fine for me in all of D6, Delphi 7 and
BDS2006. I got the same update (7.5.427). I wonder what the conflict is that
it would only affect some?
Hopefully Grisoft can figure it out.

You don't have to be a successful CEO or one that drives profit and
increases the customer base of your current/past positions, just a CEO is
all it takes and they'll pay rediculously for you, regardless whether you
can actually do good for the company or any other. Time for me to switch
careers.
Thanks,
Shawn

AVG auto-upgrade appears to crash the Adobe Acrobat plug-in for MS
Word. A couple of times I had to reinstall Acrobat to get it back up.
AVG appears to install itself in Word, so that when you open a
document (even a new blank document), Word requests a virus scan on
the doc, and sometimes the request causes the Acrobat plug-in to GPF.
I'm not sure AVG is the way to go anymore.

TObject,

AVG is the only one to use as far as I am concerned.
