D2007 Trial installation - lost five hours (and my confidence in CG)

Clogged my company's bandwith for five hours, letting the installer download all these gigabytes of free goodies from M$, hoping to have the 15-day trial installed as the end result...
...only to get this:
"Retry Extraction? Extraction of installation data downloaded from the web has failed. What would you like to do?"
Answer: apart from telling (to whom, actually?) that my PC has 15 GB of free disk space, XP SP2 with all the latest fixes and updates, is virus and adware free, etc., etc., I'd like to forget what was I so enthusiastic about half a day ago. See you, CG, until the release the Turbo Delphi 2007. You didn't even say "We are sorry" on that lousy what-would-you-like-to-do box.

I think you will have the same messy installation with Turbo Delphi 2007
too, as the IDE needs the .NET and other stuff.
But at least it will not expire on you by the time you are done with the
installation!
Hope they improve the installer in the next version..

In fact if I was a betting man, I would wager that the
installer's extraction of the downloaded compressed
files (possibly due to a corrupt or incomplete download)
is more likely to be at blame.
The installer had just successfully finished downloading
(I mean, without any error messages - I guess it is a fair
assumption that it does some verification on the finished
downloads?) certain help related file (ca 260 Mbytes...)
after which it told me that it failed extracting.

Yes, indeed. What we currently got is a 4 MBit/sec connection which certainly qualifies as a very narrow band in my books,
considered that it is being shared by ca 50 people.

...my assumption that /.../ .NET is quite probably
an innocent party here (discounting the fact that it
had to be downloaded and extracted in the first place),
and the real problem occurred during the InstallAware
download and extraction process of the SDK installer
At the time of failure the SDK had already been downloaded,
probably extracted and installed, then, too (?)
Thanks for all the suggestions (excluding those regarding
Mrs Spears).
