sounds like Micrsoft should be the one concerned about why a 3rd party
needs to "bolster customers using an increasingly dated version of
Microsoft's developer suite".

Or when one is senile, like me, you can enjoy them again and again! :

This is actually one of the reasons I like netflix so much. I have
almost 400 movies in my queue, so I don't have to worry about repeating
for quite a while.
I do have the problem you describe with books, though. Since I have read
so many, it gets a little hard to keep track, particularly when you're
trying to exhaust an author's work that spans several decades of
reading time.

For some reason I have a really hard time remembering if I have read an
Elmore Leonard book. He's written like 60 novels, and I haven't read
/that/ many, but more than once I have checked one out only to discover
that I /had/ read it.
And it is only with Elmore Leonard. Really weird.

At least he doesn't use "Prey" in nearly every novel he writes ;)
I've been meaning to use the Amazon web service interface to retrieve
author information, and set up my own "I've read this" tracking/rating
system.

I've got a couple authors like that.

In a Detroit suburb, yes. He was friendly and didn't mind talking
about a movie deal he had just signed. Gave me a nice holiday tip each
year.
It took me a while to figure out who he was; the guy I got the paper
route from had him down as "Leonard Elmore."

I've found myself watching netflix movies I added back to the queue
after we watched them from netflix already. Their movie rental
history feature isn't the greatest. Neither is my memory.
FTR, it was you posting here about Netflix that first clued me in.
That's been a wonderful site for my family, thanks.

Or when you're reading a series, and you want to catch up on the
first few books you read years ago. You know you're repeating on
purpose, but it is still fun.
