Hi
I have just tried this tool. There is still room for improvement, but it
will be usefull when finished.
This is the help text
"ProgressReport is a simple app that reads XML log files from the memory
manager B&V and tells you what validations and benchmarks are still
outstanding."
I ran it from a directory where only Opteron, XP results are present. This
is the result
File: MMChallenge.xml

I cannot see what has not been done eg. Nexus benchmarking. It mentions
nothing about compiler version or OS.

Re:Fastcode MM Progress Reporter

As I mentioned, this is a proof of concept to help your testing. It
won't be a permanent part of the B&V, but the functionality will be
added to the final reporting tool.
- Right now it uses the XML log files to get the list of MMs, which is
fine if you have a lot of XML logs, but less useful if you only have 1
or 2. I didn't want to limit the list because I know you're testing
some MMs that aren't in the batch files. I will make the list more
compete.
- I don't have a list of CPUs to compare against and use the individual
files for this.
- I can make break down the validations show which compilers have and
haven't been run against.
- I don't list the different operating systems that are and aren't
tested against. Should I?
Anything else you'd like to see?

Re:Fastcode MM Progress Reporter

You also asked if I was including the existing XML log files. I
certainly could. Especially after I reconstruct some of the broken
results.
In the future, it might make sense to publish results like this as a
web page based on submitted test results. That way anyone can see how
far along testing is at a glance.
