LOL -- that is pure FUD. Well done.
So, you officially announce the patch will be in Q1 or Q2 2004?
Will it be Q1 or Q2? Any hints on what is already sure to go in?

There was a demo that went horribly awry in the Netherlands, I
believe, and the blog that described it was "not charitable", to
put it mildly.
That's indeed putting it mildly.

OTOH, I heard the Twin Cities user group had a demo last night that
was stunning, including a live install in front of the audience.
I wasn't there, so i can not comment on that..
One can only quote from ones own experience..

This, yes.
The crashing bit, no, i was there, and it really crashed big time, not

Can you show any specific way to make it crash ?
No i can't as i do not have it.
I can only tell you the impression of what i saw at the demo by Borland
representatives in a show hosted by David I..

BorCon EU Demo.

2) Are you saying the Delphi 8 IDE and Debbuger was delivered with big
severity bugs?
It's not delivered, Delphi 8 for .NET was still defenitly not ready then.
But i have to be honest, it looked great, and the things that worked,
worked as i like it. Nice simple and easy..

Why should it be any different than Delphi 6 and D7?

Are you suggesting that Borland doesn't ship a
product without full knowledge of significant
defects? Your're kidding right?
Er...Can you read? All the software HAVE bugs.I talk about crashing ide and
de{*word*81} bugs. That kind of bugs.
I use Delphi 7 and sometimes at exit of ide i get AV, but never crash. If somebody
else crash the IDE, i´m sorry! <G>
And i build so many real worlds 24/7 app without bugs, so stop complaining
about Borland. Better see the way you write your code.

Oh, say it ain't so! You mean, even... even... Open Source? <gasp>
It is truly difficult to imagine that after all these years of wide
discussion of the practical impossibility of eliminating ALL bugs,
there should still be those who speak of software shipped with bugs as
though it were a scandal.

This, yes.
I have to give you credit. You are, without question, the first
person to actually admit to putting out FUD that I have seen. <g>

I'm sure that is true.
I gave a long, thorough demo of the product Wednesday night at our
user group and it didn't crash once.

If you label an info has FUD without doubt, it must be
because you know it is not true, otherwise, you're just
answering FUD with FUD.
So, since it ain't Q3 or Q4, it must be Q1 or Q2.

Yes, it is FUD to say that Delphi 8 for .Net won't be delivered for
eight months. I have made no comments on service packs at all.
After that, I am afraid you've lost me.

You were very clear, but my humor may not have been. My comment was
based on the reality that as even such people as Don Knuth have
concluded that error-free software (in any non-trivial app) is very
likely impossible, the attitude of some posters here is quite silly.
