I installed the BDE from Delphi 4 CD (customized), only BDE and SQL Links,
in a Windows 98 client.
But the BDEAdmin.exe application doesn't run !
Does anybody know the problem ? Or the solution ?

Make sure the client machine is at least at 256 colors.  MS did something wrong
with palette manipulation in 16 color Win98.

I've seen that happen on a machine that was upgraded from Win95 to
Win98, but the problem went away when the machine was cleaned off and
Win98 was reinstalled from scratch. I don't know what the exact cause
of the problem is.
