How can an existing user of C++ Builder 2007 get this version of
Quickreports. I was under the impression it would be made available.

No, it is part of a promotion, and cannot be given to existing
customers. I am sorry.

Yes, but it is very sad! I also bought my private copy of Delphi 2007 short
before the Delphi4php bundle / promotion. An sometimes - as an "early
adopter" - I feel some kind of discriminated when only new customers
get the goodies.
I agree, it is unfortunate.

How about a provision in the service agreement that would let SA holders
have any promotional goodies that come up? I'd think it would help you
sell more service agreements, make the SA a more desirable product, and
create a new user base for the components/products you release through these
promotions.

Might it be possible under the new regime?
(Note, I only said "possible")

Well, by June 30th anyway.
And yes, things in this regard /could/ change at that time.

LOL -- good point. ;-)

You may want to archive the original thread for when people start
"quoting" your "promise" to make that available to all on July 2. ;)

Re: Quickreports

Is QuickReports available in BCB2007 ?
I know it has Rave Reports, but we're using TDataSet based components to
connect to MySQL. I don't see how this is possible with Rave Reports (and I
could be wrong).
Can someone shed some advice please.

I think QuickReport now sells a C++ version, if you have to go that route.
RaveReport's TRvDataSetConnection component will accept TDataSet connections.
I'd recommend Rave over QR, but it does mean redoing the reports.
