Hope this is the right ng.
I get the following error well into the restore of a 2GB db using IB 7.1
Unable to complete network request to host "localhost".
Error reading data from the connection
Any ideas?
Paul

I did receive this restoring with gbak:

Done with volume #1, "c:\TIM\Traxback.gbk"
Press return to reopen that file, or type a new
name followed by return to open a different file.
That's unrelated. I have never seen it before, but then again I never do
multi-file backups. If you don't *intend* to do a multi-file restore,
check your gbak switches.

Hi Craig,
Trying to get it from the customer.
I did receive this restoring with gbak:
Done with volume #1, "c:\TIM\Traxback.gbk"
Press return to reopen that file, or type a new
name followed by return to open a different file.

I have seen this on a single file backup when backing up to a compressed folder.
GBak looks at the free space at the beginning it looks like and then counts
the bytes and when you've hit the original free space (which is not what you
still have since it has been compressing on the fly) it asks this.
