Much closer here; Oxford, England. (Still 350 miles away, though...)

So there are 2 Delphi developers in a 30 mile radius.... wow!

That's the most the Exclusion Principle will allow, IIRC.

Who are you with? (I must admit I live in Oxford but work just outside
High Wycombe - ah, the joys of the M40!)

Bah.. I live in the Delphi developer centre of the universe, ie
Adelaide, South Australia.
I reckon (yeah ok, it is just a guess) that per capita, the Delphi
developer ratio here is the highest of anywhere in the world. <g>

I am at the university where I use Delphi for my scientific research...
Alan.
PS: thanks god no commute on the M40 for me...
PPS: I am curious as to how much a Delphi developer can make in our area...
any idea? :)

Fortunately there is good circumstancial evidence to back you up Dave. For
one, I live in Adelaide as well. Give the numbers in this thread so far we
are already ahead per capita!

Sounds appealing, both the work (I dropped out of research many years back)
and the locale; I only get into Oxford centre evenings and weekends as a
rule, and it must be very nice to be able to just pop in over lunch or
straight after work!

It's getting marginally more enjoyable now the light and sunny mornings are
here, but it would be so much better if all those other damn drivers would
just stay off my route. :-)

I could probably hazard a guess. :-) Rather than commit personal details
to Googled posterity that is something probably best kept to email - if you
mail me at ian kirk1 at ntlworld com (dots in the gaps) I will get back to
you.

I had to look that up. Us Swindon Delphi programmers aren't too bright you
see.

Thanks - ntl's up to it is usual tricks at the moment (i.e. being {*word*99}) so I
can't access anything via web mail; will get a reply off as soon as it
starts playing ball.
