Why can not you use the version you were using from a previous Delphi?

The image editor is so old and hasn't been updated for so long that
Borland just decided to leave it out. There are plenty of good
image/icon editors available, many of them for free.

now and after? I used it a lot to make *.dcr, *.res..., now I can not do these
any more. Any other substitution?

Image Editor is quite clear and simple to make collection of many cursors
and bitmap to me, I have get used to finish jobs with it.
Can other free editors have same functions and can output *.res, *.dcr
that was acceptable by Delphi Compiler?
Need suggestion for a popular free editor.

Why can not you use the version you were using from a previous Delphi?
The image editor is so old and hasn't been updated for so long that
Borland just decided to leave it out. There are plenty of good
image/icon editors available, many of them for free.

There should be one on the Partner DVD from Colin Wilson, vastly updated.

If you like it, you can customize the Tools menu to add a shortcut to it.

.res is a standard that most should support. Rename of a .res to a .dcr

should work just fine.
