RxLib components - any good?

Hi,

I'm wondering if I should use some of the RxLib components
(http://rx.demo.ru) for a medium-sized project, but I'm afraid
it might cause me trouble later on. Has anyone experience
they would like to share about this set of components? Good? Bad?
And will I get trouble if, say, a new version of Delphi comes along?

Re:RxLib components - any good?

I've used the RXLib for many months now - they are very good, also the
Delphi4 update for them was out very quickly (far faster than many other
components). There is now an English help file, so as far as I can see
the future is bright for Rx.

Barry, do you have an URL for the help file? I downloaded RxLib just a few
days ago, been playing with it and some English documentation would be very
helpful. I am browsing the RxLib site right now, and I can find no link to
(or a mention of) English help file. Only the resource files have
multi-language versions, but for the help files, the site only lists
Russian language. Any other place I should look?

Definitely good.

I don't think you are in danger here. The library comes with full
source and it is very commonly used.

Judging from how fast D4 was supported in the official version and how
even before that some people had made their own adjustments, I'd say
they are safe to use. That transition was apparently not trivial BTW.

superb stuff...

shouldn't be a problem, as they're distributed with full source code

The URL announced in borland.public.delphi.thirdparty-tools was
www.officeauto.com.  What you'll find at that site now is...um...pretty
interesting, but not obviously related to Delphi or RxLib (unless you
subscribe to those theories about Bill Gates...never mind).

You can find a couple of help files for RxLib at

    http://finalfiler.com/delphi/collections

The first one, rxhlp10.exe, is the one that was formerly at
officeauto.com.  It looks like the Web pages that someone used to keep
(that have since disappeared), converted into some sort of proprietary
viewer format (along with the viewer).  The second, rxhlpsrc.zip,
contains a help file but less information.  Neither is quite up to date,
but they're better than nothing.

Hm, that email address yields nothing, while officeauto.com seems a rather,
uh, interesting website as far ar Delphi is concerned. One way or another,
I keep looking...
