Architect trial with Enterprise installed

Hi All,
Has anyone tried installing RAD Studio Architect trial with a current
installation of Enterprise already installed?
I'm wondering if it will cause any problems with the licensing or whether
the Enterprise installation will be affected when it comes time to uninstall
the trial.
I want to try the architect trial for the ECO capabilities.
Regards, Paul.

I assume you are talking about different SKU of the same Delphi version?
I haven't tried it, but I can predict that the result will be catastrophic.
For one thing they use the same registry key entries, so installing the
trial will seriously mess up your existing installaion, and the new
installation most likely won't work.
Do not do this at home!
If they are different Delphi versions it should work fine.

Hi Finn,
Yes, they are both RS 2007. I suspected it would be problematic but I guess
I can always re-install the Enterprise version after uninstalling the
Architect trial. I have had some practice re-installing before :)
Regards, Paul.

The always are VM's you could use for trial thing, some are no charge:
VirtualBox free, good
VirtalPC free, useless
VMWare not free, very good
Load one up with a trial version of an OS, then dropping the trial architect on would give you excellent perspective. Could even run Architect and Enterprise one in host but one in VM to "side by side"
