When I've compiled my program and tries to run it on another computer I get
an error message that tells me that the file VCLBDE50.BPL is missing.

I assume that file is part of the Borland Database Engine distribution?
Does your program use tables in some way?  If so, are you redistributing
the BDE?  Read DEPLOY.TXT in your Delphi root directory or on your CD.
