MSSQL 7.0 Field Types

Using Delphi 3, SQL 7.0

It seems from some messages here that the BDE MSACCESS driver doesn't
work with the new data types (nvarchar) in MS SQL 7.0, which is what i
found.

Is there an ODBC driver that does? The one that gets installed with the
SQL 7 client software (version 3.70.06.23) doesnt work via Database
Explorer.

If ADO works, does that mean i have to update to Delphi 5?

Thanks

Re:MSSQL 7.0 Field Types

Wes,

There are 3rd party ADO BDE replacements (check out:
http://www.torry.webnorth.com/), but I am not sure if they work with Delphi
3.  Before you spend the money, make sure you are using the new field types
because you need them, not because Micro$oft says you should.

Good luck,
krf
