BDE Configuration problem on windows 2000
Hi,
This is Ekta Gujrathi. The problem is concerned with configuring BDE
Settings on Machines with Windows 2000 operating system: After creating an
Object for Sybase driver & after adding in all the properties for the same
object, I want to save this object, so that I can use the Database
Connection thru BDE from my DELPHI Executable. But I don't see the apply
button enabled & it keeps on giving us the message "You can not change the
file c:\program files\common files\Borland shared\BDE\Idapi.cfg". I Don't
understand why??
All this works perfectly fine on Windows NT machine with the same version of
BDE & Delphi 4.0. We have even tried to copy the IDAPI.CFG file from Windows
NT machine to the Windows 2000 machine, but still its of no use & my Delphi
Application still doesn't work on this Windows 2000 Machines. I have already
tried to configure it on at least 5 Windows 2000 Machines.
Can you please tell me why this is happening & How can I get this thing to
work? I would highly appreciate your help in this matter.
Kind Regards,
Ekta Gujrathi
