No. FMPOV, you posted them with the intention of backing up your
experience. IMO, you should have listened to your first instinct and
not counted those blog posts.

Does know about you but to me it sounds like I am *not* counting this as
a "trusted review"? ;-)
Ok, then it seems to me that you like posting {*word*99} information about
Vista on non-tech. Again, suit yourself.

Well you can read about Sam Gentile here
A self-written bio?

IMO he doesn't sound like the kind who would fake a turn-about
just to hype Vista
From all that is public on his website it is obvious that he has a
vested interest in it, and there are some claims he made that are just
blatant FUD. Why does he not sound like the kind who would do it?
He's so public that he can be considered in many ways a politician :)
Quote
OK so you don't count yourself, but that still begs the question of
where am I to go to find those trustable review sites you suggest I
should use to get reliable information?
Rhetorical question?
Quote
Does that mean you will forgive me when in the future I start augmenting
on this newsgroup in such a manner that you disagree?
I don't quite see what forgiveness has to do with argumenting, or even
what my forgiveness would get you anyway, it is not like it can be traded
for gold at the bank :)

Brian, while I generally appreciate your opinion, in this matter you seem
very determined to tag me as a "{*word*99} poster". You start by assuming you know
my intention to be evil while completely overlooking what I saw as humor in
how the guy exaggerated in summarizing his experience. As you say, suit
yourself!

Please discuss the substance of posts without resorting to namecalling.

Rhetorical question?
Not at all. I thought it a perfectly reasonable question since you had said.
"I would rather you had provided references from major, trustable review
sites, rather than blogs from ranting developers, especially so when they
have an agenda plastered on top of their blog page. :)"

My bank isn't in the gold trading business but I'd treasure it as if it
were gold. ;-)

There isn't a rule against it, but I can not see how it contributes to
intelligent discourse on this forum. I am just asking to keep the
conversation substantive.

No, I said that is how I *interpreted* your intention, hence "FMPOV". I
did not assume and do not know what your actual intention was/is.
FWIW, "evil" isn't even close to being an accurate way of describing
what you're accusing me of if I were doing such a thing anyway. Again,
that is simply hyperbole that is just nonsense.

It is kind of funny...I suppose...but finding someone exaggerating or
using hyperbole on a blog is not really newsworthy or uncommon IMO.
The fact is that you posted the links in direct reply to a questioning
of your personal experience. If it wasn't to support your position,
what else could it have been? A "ha ha ha" blog post? Please.

Thank you. And in this case I will: those posts are {*word*99}.

That's the best you've got?
Should I have varied my word choice? Used a thesaurus? Would that have
made it clearer or more eloquent?
How about I expand on what "{*word*99}" means in this context:
The guy gets better performance because he bought a faster more powerful
machine. Wow! Shocking!

There would be far more intelligent discourse here if the linked posts
were substantive themselves. Instead, they are "worthless" (choose
whatever synonym you want).

Hi Noby

Have a look at these Flex links to see what kind of RAD for GUI
stuff it can do:

examples.adobe.com/flex2/inproduct/sdk/explorer/explorer.h
tml

examples.adobe.com/flex2/consulting/styleexplorer/Flex2Sty
leExplorer.html
I have looked few other links.
It seems that Flex and XUL have much more similarities than I
thought.
