No, but it is not unreasonable to assume that somewhere in the world
someone is saying to a colleague "Did you hear that there are going to
be 20% cuts on the Delphi team?" as a result.

Discussions like this are how unfounded rumors get started.
Hey, did you see where Nick Hodges posted about a 20% cut in the Delphi
team? <g,d,&r>

Maybe, but every statement anyone makes can be misinterpreted, and given the
plenty of examples I have seen here and on usenet, there is close to a 100%
chance of it, for any statement. I could say, "Hey, did you know that Delphi
2006 is the best Delphi ever?", and some luminary somewhere will probably end
up saying, "I heard that Delphi 2006 was the last Delphi that was ever going to
be made."
I think too many people are worried too much about what people here on these
newsgroups may be saying. A good healthy debate always has its detractors.

Hey, did you see where Nick Hodges posted about a 20% cut in the Delphi
team? <g,d,&r>
Which then becomes, "Hey, did you hear about the mass {*word*190} in Scott's Valley?"
"What, they've banned the Mass in Scott's Valley?""Did you hear that Catholics
are now banned in Scott's Valley?""Wow, I just read that Christians are being
attacked in California!""Hey, we need to send some money to the Knights of
Columbus to help save Christians who were brutally beaten by thugs""I did my
part. I just bought a suit of armor.""I just heard that metal clothing is
coming back in style!""This just in to the news desk...aluminum underwear is
all the rage!"

Constant negativity is the most efficient.
Constant <anything>is the most efficient.

So is that confirmed now ?
No, it is /not/ confirmed. Repeat, this is /not/ true.
Again, NOT true.
Sorry, but if you don't think rumors get started on this stuff, you are
wrong.
