Wintypes Winprocs Missing !

Hi,

When i install a new component that uses wintypes, winprocs
Delphi complains about wintypes.dcu and winprocs.dcu missing !

When i install the component on other machine, all works well.

What's the hell with delphi ?

 Using : D3.02 NT4SP4

Thanks to repliers.

Re:Wintypes Winprocs Missing !

Hi,

On the machine that is failing, goto the Tools|Environment menu item. Select
the library tab from the dialog. In the Unit aliases box make sure that the
text "WinTypes=Windows;WinProcs=Windows" is present.

WinTypes and WinProcs are Delphi 1 units and must be aliased in Delphi 2,3
and 4 where the units were combined into Windows.pas

Hope this helpd

WinTypes and WinProcs were separate units from D1 which were consolidated
into the Windows unit starting in D2. By default, D2-D4 will automatically
convert any reference to WinTypes or WinProcs to Windows; this is controlled
by the unit Aliases setting which in the D4 IDE is in Project | Options |
Directories/Conditionals. The Aliases by default contain an entry like this:

  WinTypes=Windows;WinProcs=Windows;

It sounds like you've message your Aliases up (perhaps you accidentally
deleted it). Just copy the Aliases settings from the "good" machine to the
"bad" machine.

There is no reason to use foul language, and doing so is against the
newsgroup guidelines.
