Start Server as a Non-Admin?

Hi!

I don't want to have the IB server running on my
development machine all the time, so I changed
it to "manually". But then, everytime I want to
start it I have to log in as an admin.

Is there a solution: Namely, to start IB server
as a "normal" user?

Kind regards, Pi.

Assuming you're running Windows 2000, go to the Services control panel,
select IBServer and view its properties. Go to the tab Log On and change
from 'local system account' to another account, supply password and you're
done.

Services must be a specific account with a login name and password.  I'd
recommend just using the system account.

It should work - but you didn't say what OS you were running... :)
