IB Slow to resume from idle2005-03-02 09:16:21 AM delphi205 I have 2 clients using an IB 6 system on an XP Laptop. Everything works well, startup is quick, searches are quick, all OK until they stop making requests for a while or move to another app. When they move back to the Delphi / IB application or try a new search nothing happens for maybe a minute then ever thing is fine until the next break. Is this a Windows issue or an IB priority problem? How can I fix it? Any assistance greatly appreciated. TIA Peter |

Re:IB Slow to resume from idle
Check the Control Panel Power Management settings. I think you will find
that after N minutes with no activity the hard drive is set to stop. The long delay is the time it takes the hard drive to get up to speed from a complete stop. -- Bill Todd (TeamB) TeamB cannot answer questions received via email |

Re:IB Slow to resume from idle
Other than something shutting down due to the power management settings I
have no idea what could cause the behavior you described. -- Bill Todd (TeamB) TeamB cannot answer questions received via email |
