Is this why you (read: Borland) let Nick and Rudy keep on conducting
the way they are in this NG, amplifying the disappoint and bad
feelings a lot of loyal Borland customers have about the last two
Delphi releases by a magnitude.
Oh, for heavens sake. What a load. Jeez, I have publicly stated
numerous times that I think an update is a good idea. I've
acknowledged my own troubles with D2005.
You need to read #s 10-13 here. Read them. Understand them. Accept
them. And stop posting stuff like that baloney above.
And when you are done, read #13 again.
Get it?

In which case, presumably you'd be able to provide the quotes without
searching.
If I did that, he would accuse me of putting words into his mouth.
He's done it several times in the last few days, despite the fact that
I did no such thing..

OK, so I did a search and found no hits for *anyone* saying that you
have "no business sense". Perhaps it is done with, now?
Perhaps your search button is broken..
In either case..
"Well, you certainly display a lack of business sense in the messages
you post here." -- Rudy, posted today at 12:13 p.m.
"See, that is one opinion where you display a lack of business sense"
-- Rudy, posted today at 12:28 p.m.
Anyhow...there are undoubtedly others, but those are the first two
that I found and really didn't feel like filtering through hundreds of
other messages to look for more.
Point is, I don't make these things up.
My memory works perfectly...and if someone says something to me
(especially when it is something absurd), I tend to remember it..

Cancelled that one, too.
Stop being insulting.

What is your problem?
Show me in the newsgroup rules where it says that messages may be
cancelled because one single TeamB members CLAIMS that someone is
"making things up".
Here, I will even make it easy for you so you don't have to search for
the rules:
info.borland.com/newsgroups/guide.html
Please show me the rule.
Either that, or stop cancelling the messages that YOU don't agree
with.

Yeah...and isn't it ironic that for every instance where you say that
an update is a good idea, there are three other instances where you
say that it is not up to us...because of the "process"...and
"considerations" and "evaluations" that need to be done.
I fail to see how those two points should be mutually exclusive, as you
seem to be making out that they are.

IMO, logic and common sense are always a welcome breath of fresh air on
this newsgroup.
Oh and while we're on the topic of this newsgroup..
Do you know of any rule where it says that a TeamB member can cancel
the messages of a poster simply because he disagrees with what that
person has said?
Note that I said "disagrees".
No rules were broken, but because this particular TeamB member felt he
didn't like the way he was portrayed, he decided to go on a cancelling
spree.
I have all the messages saved if you'd like to see them.

I was merely how in one breath he claims to be all pro-customer in
that we should have another patch, and in the next breath he makes
excuses as to why we might not ever see said patch.

I cannot claim to speak for Nick, but I interpret his stance as a patch
would be very welcome, but only Borland is in a position to determine
whether this is a viable thing for them to be doing. I can not see how
the second point contridicts the first, or makes Nick any less
'pro-customer'.
And if this isn't how Nick feels, it certainly sums up my take on the
situation.

Everything contained in this post that is not quoted from others, is merely
an opinion. It may be a well-informed opinion motivated by an uncanny grasp
of facts and amazingly well-formulated theories, but it remains opinion
nevertheless. I speak for nobody but myself, and even then I may get it
wrong from time to time.
