Delphi Graphics

Hi, I'm being hired to program a game. I'm unsure where exactaly to
start though. Its going to be a 3D game. Its much like chess.
I'm having trouble finding an enviroment to do this in. Thanks. All
suggestions more then welcome. I'm pretty interested in doing this in
Delphi if someone could steer me in the right direction. Trouble is,
people get {*word*268} if you mention Delphi to them sometimes. Sheesh.
