HELP BDE5.10..................................

Hello,

I upgraded BDE 5.01 to BDE 5.10 and configured new alias (MS ACCESS,
Database location, MS Access 97 driver,IDDA3532.DLL...).
Everything is working fine on my computer, but when I tried to install the
program on another computer, BDE 5.10
default to MS Access 95 driver, and delete the location of the database, but
the alias is there????
I didn't have any problems with the old BDE5.01.  Did I miss something?  I
am using Install Shield Express 2.04.

Does anyone run to the same problem?  Is there a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Re:HELP BDE5.10..................................

ISX BDE configuration defaults to DAO3.0.  To change that, open the BDE Admin
and do Object->Open Configuration.  Browse to the ISX\redist directory and open
the IDAPI.cfn or IDAPI32.cfg file.  Change it there, commit the changes, and
close BDE Admin without saying yes to make this the new default.  Now all new
installs will default to IDDA3532.dll.

Have you ever met a lady screaming angst potential?
Have you ever dreamed of romance no matter how experimental?
Have you ever felt an alien drifting back into your hometown?
Did you think you were buying safety when you bought that peice of ground?

Install shield doesn't delete existing Aliases or change existing defaults where
BDE has been previously installed.
