Start/Stop IBserver from CMD line

Hello,
can anybody help me,
I want stop or start IBserver from another application,
but instsvc.exe doesn't work.
I have Win98SE & IB 6.0.1 Server

net start "InterBase Server" works for me

it doesn't work...
(may be only for WinNT?)

Yes, you have to have NT and the proper rights to start/stop a service
(Administrative I think).

The only way I know of doing it via command line is using the net
command.

OK, maybe, but what's its service name?
this doesn't work
net stop "IBserver"
net stop "IB server"
net stop "InterBase Server"

The last one should work if you have the appropriate rights and your OS
is NT/2000/XP.  You do have to put it in quotes.  I just started mine
manually (see below) using it.

     C:\>net start interbase server
     The service name is invalid.

     More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2185.

     C:\>net start "InterBase Server"
     The InterBase Server service is starting.
     The InterBase Server service was started successfully.
