   Back in those days, there were many excellent texts written for Turbo
Pascal, and most referenced TP5.0 or 5.5.  I would ask around for any
book by Tom Swan, Jeff Duntemann, or Steven O'Brien (they aren't
available in stores any longer, but you might find them in the "bargain
bins" of CompUSA, etc.).  Such books should be enough to get you going,
and specific questions can be answered here - many of us worked with
those older versions...8<}}
