I saved the reg626.eml into my "Program Files\Borland\Interbase" directory
as directed by the email I received.
I get a "Interbase licensing error" when I try to start Interbase server.
Help!

Re:InterBase licensing error

What does the interbase.log say when his error occurs?
(It it located in the same directory as you placed the .eml file)
It may have some specific information as to why you are getting this error.

Re:InterBase licensing error

Your file needs to a .txt extension, not .eml. Any chance your email
client is AOL? I have heard it does funny things to attachments.

Re:InterBase licensing error

Heh, I know that one was forthcoming. I had also erased all the files in
the Interbase directory and saved it as reg626.txt with the same results. I
suppose some registry entry could have been left around that made the
re-install with reg626.txt of no effect.

Is your system drive C:?
If you don't have C: Drive on your machine that might be why the Trial is
not registering correctly.
Please let us know if this is the case.

I am booting from drive F:
So I can only run interbase from a system booted from drive c:?

Re:InterBase licensing error

I think you nailed it, Gabe. Interbase works when I boot off the "C:"
partition. My C: partition is Windows 2000 and my F: partition is Windows
XP Professional.
Thanks! Is there anyway to get it to work with boot drives other than c:?

There's a fix for this on the IB Delphi Developers site. I don't know
if it works on the trial version, though.
