SQL Limits or general limits

Hi everyone,

Working with MS SQL 6.5.

Which is the maximum number of open datasets that one datamodule can open
having all of then connected to the same Tdatabase object and the same
TSession object?.

Thanks

Hi Flix,

Depends on the database you are using.

For MS SQL 6.5, there is a parameter in the BDE which, by default, limits
the number of open processes (TTables/TQueries) to 31.

This parameter is under

BDE Administrator -> Configuration -> Drivers -> Native -> MSSQL

its name is MAX DBPROCESSES and can be changed according to the number of
tables you expect to open in your application.

Cheers

Flix
