Hey guys,
Trying to install the PRO update 7.1 for Delphi, I get the following error:
Error 1309. Error reading from file:
...\BDE\bantam.dll. Verify that the file exists
and that you can access it.
Never heard of this one before.

Re:7.1 update fails

Jennifer
You most likely used the msi file in your Delphi 7 directory. To get around
the problem, rename this file and use the one from your installation CD.

Re:7.1 update fails

1) rename the file "Borland Delphi 7.msi" in your Delphi7 root dir.
2) place your Delphi 7 CD in the drive
3) INSTALL

Thanx Steve, that worked.

Re:7.1 update fails

Doesn't for me - I still get an internal error ...

Re:7.1 update fails

Roy: It doesn't work - I keep getting a message about "The feature you are
trying to use is on a network resource which is not available" - network?
what network?
Renaming the .msi on the Delphi 7 root does not work.
Browsing to the file on the D7Ent CD does not work
Copying the .msi file from the D7Ent CD to an local drive on the hard drive
does not work.
What now?
Cheers - David

Re:7.1 update fails

Hello
When trying to apply the 7.1 update I get:
The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service
because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the update patch may
update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be
upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade
patch.
What now?
Thanks, Frederick C.Wilt

Ask in the the *.install.delphi group. Borland folks there can better
help you.
