wanttab in a TEdit

How can I do my own action, when the user push the tab key while editing
a TEdit?
I tryed to answer to the WM_KEYDOWN message after setting the
DLGC_WANTTAB in the result of the WM_GETDLGCODE message.
This works with the little problem, that each time if I pressed the tab
key there sounds a beep out of my pc speaker.
What can I do to fix this problem?

Christian,

use WM_CHAR instead of WM_KEYDOWN to detect tab (#9). Your control beeps
because it gets the WM_CHAR and does not know what to do with it.
