Portal Builder is designed to produce 'pixel perfect' web pages...
It is almost impossible to design web pages "pixel perfect" - meaning that
they look *exactly* the same in all browsers. The latter all have bugs which
can make your life miserable, and they also do not implement the complete
W3C standards. Some browsers are more compliant, others are less, and you
need to find workarounds for certain issues. On top of that, you will have
to deal with proprietary tags for example. In essence, all you can do is to
design your web pages in such a way that they look *almost* the same in the
popular browsers. And to achieve that you definitely don't need Javascript.
Good luck

It used to be that when you saw the terms "pixel perfect",
"pixel precision" and others that what you were really
getting was a page with heavily nested tables.
In today's world, CSS-P is the way to go.
It's unrealistic to believe that you can get the same
page to look exactly the same in all browsers. If you
absolutely need that ability, you have two options that
I know of - Flash, or use a large graphic (preferably
sliced w/ progressive loading) with a map for your links..

Exactly my words - I couldn't agree more. "Pixel perfect" layout is
something the graphics designers always try to achieve.

Which is not really optimal considering the huge number of people who are
still surfing with dial-up...
