I like it. It is a lot better than the BDS 2006 one, that looked a
little bit... i don't know, but the embossed Text effect reminded me of
1997 Web 0.9 GIF Images :)

I am just trying to work out why CodeGear's website is so consistently slow.
Under-powered servers?

How on earth are you supposed to post a message to the blog when the image
won't display!?! Here is the message I wanted to post on that blog :-
It looks like everything has been shut up inside some kind of geodesic dome.
Perhaps it harks back to Logan's Run, and once we have developed using Delphi
for 10 years, we have to be zapped!

Re:D2007 Splash Screen

Whatever, Delphi 2007 starts incredibly quickly. I just
started it in <10 seconds. Admitedly with no 3rd party
components but excellent. And the help is much better,
although the content is still not 100%. But every beta we
get, the help gets better.
(Note that I have been allowed by CodeGear to post this.)

Reminds me of the Delphi 4 splash.

Re:D2007 Splash Screen

I really like it too. it is nice to see the temple and statue re-appearing.
It makes me think of the old Delphi version 1, which is a good association.
The black one with blue text reminded me of the sort of graphics my
ten-year-old self produced on an old BBC Master microcomputer. (Anyone
remember mode 7, the teletype font?)
My one comment - if anyone reads this - is that the font spacing is a little
wide. It would be nice to narrow it a little. Also, grey is only a little
bit better than black - it is still very plain - it is not an 'exciting'
screen. I would really like it if Delphi was released with a screen that was
bright and happy and made me feel I was opening something work looking at.
Black and grey are just, well, dull. Things like that really do affect
users' perceptions of the product, you might as well at least make it /look/
interesting.
Cheers,
David
