Error message: "De{*word*81} Kernel Error: 1"

Has anyone seen the error message: "De{*word*81} Kernel Error: 1" in
Delphi 2.0?

It keeps popping up now and then...

Very usual, very informative.
It means you're linking in a DLL, and that DLL can't be found.
If you run the exe outside the IDE, Windows will tell you what
DLL is missing.

Your application is trying to use a DLL, and the OS can't find it in
the current directory or on the path.

I tried that and windows (NT) replied:

         "Not a valid Windows application"
