InstallShield Express for Delphi 2.0

Is it just me or is it not possible to add components or other file
groups?  I can add the BDE installation for my apps as well as the
program executable but I can't add another directory for my actual
tables...  Is this suppose to be a stripped down version?

I found it to be rather stripped down for my purposes.  I downloaded a demo of
Installshield Express Professional (fully functional for 30 days) and it solved
my problems.  We later purchased the program.  I believe it to be worth
purchasing.

Download the demo at

http://www.installshield.com/download.htm

Hope this is helpful.

The program can do this no problem but I use the full version. The
version that ships with Delphi 2, I have never used.
In the full version to set the directory that the files are installed to
you would just set that directory then hit the modify group button.

For an easy to use, flexible Windows installer, try Setup Factory 4.0 from

No problem. Add a new group and specify the destination directory for
that group. Drag your tables into that group and they will be copied to
that directory. Works fine for me.

Re:InstallShield Express for Delphi 2.0

It is a stripped down version of Installshield3 but u can add your own
directories.
1. Open group and files.
2. In the group name add for example My Tables
2. In the destination directory write for example this
<installdir>mytables.
3. Click the Add group button and youve created a new directory.

The group function is used if you want to make a custom installation for
example if you want the user to have the option of installing the BDE or
not.

No it isn't.

InstallShield Express for Delphi is a subset of InstallShield Express
Professional.

This is correct though.

Yes, and it makes the installation setup much more organized.

Happy coding
