Doing a locate on a TQuery result set on MSACCESS table in D3

I am doing a Locate on a TQuery result set from an MS-Access table in
Delphi 3.0 and am always getting a no find. Am I doing something wrong?
Is this possible? Do I need to do a last then first? Any suggestions?
