Delphi5.0 BDE(5.11) connect oracle8i hostdef error?

I connect Oracle8i(8.1.5) with delphi5.0 ,but there have an error :

 General SQL error
 ORA-01041: internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist

BDE using
   DLL32:SQLORA8.dll
   VENDOR INIT:OCI.DLL
using oracle Sql&plus can connect oracle8i.

What can I do to fix this?

I use the same dll32
but the vendor init is with my ora8.1.6 : ORACLIENT8.DLL
