Installation error of BDE when using windows 98

Installation error of BDE when using windows 98

I have used Delphi 4 /
install shield to create
installation of
application using BDE
with paradox.

During the installation
on windows 98 , it
produces a configuration
file merge error at the
stage where my alias's
are installed.
Once the installation is
finished, it is
impossible to run the BDE
config utility or my
application.

Every thing is fine with
windows NT or Windows 95.

Anybody have any ideas ?

I once had similar problems. It was because of another installation of the
BDE by another program. .
I solved it by using InstallShield 2.11 (trial version on their site)
