pascal

Dear sir,

Where can I get my hands on Pascal?

I can't seem to find it or download it.

Have tried Free Pascal, but always give errors.

Email to me @ s0503...@hotmail.com

Pls advise,
Jacky

A: This item owes heavily above all to Pedt Scragg and also to
Klaus Hartnegg, John Stockton, Marco van de Voort. TP/BP 7.0 is not
free or shareware so you have to buy it outright. Here are some
resources for legally obtaining the Turbo Pascal compiler, a
compatible compiler or a Pascal compiler in general. Please be
aware, as always with WWW links, that in a stored FAQ they might
change. But these links at least give you a hint what to look for.
 1) Inprise Pascal products http://www.borland.com/pascal/
You can also try e.g. at http://www.borland.co.uk/
The page http://community.borland.com/museum/ has free of charge
Turbo Pascal versions 1.0, 3.02, and also(!) version 5.5.
 2) eBay http://www.ebay.com/ sells e.g. compilers.
 3) Free Pascal (aka FPC Pascal, formerly FPK) : A free 32-bit
Pascal compiler for DOS, Linux, OS/2 and Win32 by the Free
    Pascal Web Team at http://www.freepascal.org/
 4) GNU Pascal - the free 32bit compiler available from
    http://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/~gnu-pascal/
 5) TMT Pascal - free 32bit evaluation/personal use compiler only,
    from http://www.tmt.com/
A comment from John Stockton:
http://community.borland.com/museum/borland/software/  provides a
more direct route, and more independent of browser state (cookies).

   All the best, Timo

Hi Timo,

Might be worth now adding:

You can now also download TP7.01 from the French Inprise site
http://www.inprise.fr/download/compilateurs/

The menu system is in English, the help file is in French

Re:pascal

Hi!

You can find a list of Pascal compilers on http://www.pdiy.de ,
Miscellaneous, Compilers. I advise TP5.5 because it is in my oppinion very
good to begin with Pascal.
You can also find Tutorials on the same Page at Miscellaneous, Tutorials.

Last time I tried, it no longer worked.

There's the French site, too, if still available :
        http://www.inprise.fr/download/compilateurs/
but its not (yet?) in the mini-FAQ.

That explains why I thought it was there.  Now I have to explain how I
failed to note that new issue of the mini-FAQ ...  apologies.  The copy
at SigLine 4 will be updated with this upload.
