Through the dust and the smoke of this man-made hell,
walked a giant of a man that Borland coders know well.
Grabbed a sagging timber and gave out with a groan,
and like a giant oak tree he just stood there alone, Big John

Nope, don't think I will be. Doesn't sound like my kind of poison ;)

The sausage man wrote it?
At any rate, wasn't Johnny Cash's version more famous?

Don't think I have ever heard Cash do this, I *only* know Dean's, and it was
very famous (my dad had the album when I was a kid).

I'll be durned, you're right (Dean's was the more famous one).
It seems to make more sense for a person named John to sing it, though.
Maybe they should resurrect it and release a whole recording full of covers
of this song, by the following artists:
John Fogarty
John Mellencamp
Jon Bon Jovi
Elton John
John McLaughlin
Johnny Winter
John Davidson
Johnny Mathis
Johnny Rotten
Dr. John
Delphi John <-- not off-topic!
etc.

Sorry ... we're branching a little too far. Either off-topic or end it,
ok?
