Look into joining the BTP program.

I was thinking of that, and I think it would definitely be a good idea.
However, from looking at the application form, it seemed that I would
need to already be commercialising the product. Is that right?
Currently, I haven't started selling it yet (though I am about to), do
you think it would be possible to become a BTP anyway?
Thanks!

Hi all,

I'm about to publish a third party component set for Delphi and BCB. In
order to test it correctly with all the versions of Delphi/BCB that I
support, I'd like to know if there's anywhere I could get a hold of
these old versions, or at least some evaluation versions.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Jonathan Neve.

Not necessarily. Indy and JEDI are BTPs as well.

Ok, thanks for the information. Well in that case I guess I will give it a
try.
Thanks!

FWIW, we are in the process of automating the BTP application (and
several other annoying manual paperwork things right now) but I think
it will be a few weeks before that option is available. If you don't
get a response about your application, email me and I will help out.

Oh, no! If I had anything to say about it, I would like to see the DevRel
support staff doubled. Unfortunately, I doubt that we can have much
influence on this.

In addition to e-bay, you might also check here:

www.emsps.com/oldtools/bordel.htm
...or here: they have most Delphi/BCB versions available, and should be a
good way of getting extra seats of obsolete versions.

That's unlikely. However, we are trying to automate as much of those
administrative tasks as possible. Hopefully, it will end up benefiting
both our partners/customers and DevRel to have automated tracking
systems in place.

There's always more on the way.
Currently being highly automated:
- BTP agreement submissions
- BTP NDA agreements
- GetPublished
- document adapters for HTML, DOC, PDF, PPT
- content management interface for authors

Re: Old versions of Delphi and BCB

Hi John,
Sorry, for the question only partialy related to the thread's topic,
but If possible please answer the question I have asked Nick
few posts above in this thread.
In short, the company has a big product written in delphi 7.
The company wants to hire more programmers.
The company is suppose to provide Delphi 7 license for every
new team member but unfortunately sales od the product are
discontinued.
This is not very complicated or unreal scenario, so I wonder
what Borland itself reccomends the customer to do in such a case ?
Best Regards,
Zenon

Contact Borland sales. Jason Vokes indicated that copies of Delphi 7
were still available for sale during the 24 hours of Delphi.
