Dale can stay...

On further review of my post late yesterday suggesting Dale should leave,
I'd like to apologize to Dale and Borland.  Although I still believe
Borland's pricing structure is far too high, I recognize that my comment was
uncalled for.  (It's no excuse, but I was having kind of a lousy day on
other fronts, and it spilled over into the newsgroups and pricing
discussions.)

So, Borland, keep Dale - I agree he's done a fine job so far.  And keep up
the good work on quality products.  But please also consider the cost of
entry for those new to your tools, and also to those who aren't using them
commercially.

As an alternative

Borland could give limited upgrades to older versions of delhpi for
less money in order to help none profit organizations,
freeware authors, or individuals who can't afford the latest and
greatest tool to be one or two steps behind there competition
-keeping in mind that the only competition they will have is the
new version of Delphi that some one else has just bought :).

The only limitation is what we are willing to accept as one.

If do not count in the 'smart' decision to merge with Corel!! I think after
that he should have left...
