Please help on ReportSmith Run Time

Hi

I have developed an application in Delphi 1. The version of ReportSmith
that accompanies Delphi 1 is 2.5. I have almost 15 reports to be printed
from my application. I added a component named TReport int he form which
loads ReportSmith and gave the ReportDir and ReportName property at run
time. When I finished the application, I trie dto test it in other
computers. I installed the BDE and RS_RUN as adviced by Inprise from
their REDIST directory. The I copied the program files into the
appropriate directory and the program execution went smooth. I was able
to query the tables and so on. When I clicked on the Print Btn, the
Print Dialogue box came up and I hit OK and received an error message
saying "UNABLE TO LOAD RS_RUN.EXE" .
 Is this happened because I insatlled the 16-bit version to Windows 95 ?
The development computer also has Windows 95 and it works fine there.
Could any one please help me with this?
Thank you very much.

Hi,
I suspect that your program can't find the RS Runtime.
Do you have RS_RUN.INI in your Windows directory and does it contain a
section that starts something like :

[RS_Runtime]
ExePath=C:\RS_RUN

If it does you might try to put your RS_RUN directory in the path in your
autoexec and reboot. I've had to do this a few times.

Re:Please help on ReportSmith Run Time

Hi,
Try as follows:

On every PC which ReportSmith Runtime is installed, add the path to RS_RUN.EXE
to the RS_RUN.INI file, found in the Windows directory under the [RS_Runtime]
section. For example,

ExePath=C:\RS_Run

This setting is only necessary for Delphi's TReport component and is added to
the installer's RS_RUN.INI during Delphi installation.
