problems with printing on network printers

Printers are a nightmare.....

First verify that the printer work with another application that is NON
Microsoft. I have noticed that MS has some way of using printers and stuff
and bypassing the normal standard. Why shouldnt they? They own the source
code... (Based on experience with fax routines). Other from that I cant be
of any help.
